Our base simulator model comes with an exposed cockpit for optimum easy access although occupants will feel fully enclosed once installed. We can supply open or closed cockpits, fit bodywork or use actual vehicles, and apply the livery of a race or road vehicle of your choice.
Sparco race seat, motorsport-specification race pedals, a professional steering wheel with paddle gear shifters. All the high tech tools of the trade for harsh motorsport conditions, built to endure the hundreds of thousands of 'driving' kilometres our entertainment simulators sustain per year!
Our steering feedback is near 100 percent% accurate providing the science of flight simulation and the exact same feel as a real race car.
Our motorsport seat belts provide essential upper body restraint and keep you in your seat, as they do in a real race car. Add tensioners which react to the input of the driver - for example tightening under braking - and you get an additional sensory cue that adds to the realism.
Three 42" monitors or alternatively stereo projectors on a curved screen 'wrap around' the driver's line of vision to provide a virtual view. Race track and vehicles are brought to life via Cruden's in-house-built graphics engine.
The brain of the simulator and its interactive motion system encompasses clever motion-cueing and force feedback algorithms - the complex and critical math translating driver input into motion response. This is the real magic of the simulator; the reason a Cruden simulator is chosen by those serious about high end entertainment.
The simulator's six electrical actuators make the motion happen, providing six 'degrees of freedom' i.e. movement in every direction and rotation and convincing g-Force simulation up to multiple g's, to give the most realistic experience.
Mechanically-designed universal joints to allow the system's motion are the same as those used by heavy duty truck prop shafts for exceedingly harsh environments. The result is robustness, durability and very low maintenance.
The simulators' energy-efficient electromechanical motion system typically requires only five KWh of electricity. Also, using clever KERS technology, better known from its application in Formula One racing, the simulator harvests the energy it creates and stores it until required, further helping to save on running costs.
Cruden's own user-friendly software package allows operators to select the car and track of their choice, choose race and test modes and monitor and rank lap times against the drivers' names. We supply a variety of race tracks, road and cars, for example, from Formula One, NASCAR, IRL and rally. Slot times or number of laps can be regulated, as can driver level.
Customers who specify this additional PC will be able to bring the action to more people. This appealing TV-like coverage enables guests to follow the vehicle from different angles or through in-car camera coverage. An LCD/plasma screen or beamer can be used for the visuals and the sound can be sent to speakers.
