Project Manager

Cruden is looking for a motivated project manager to join its team. The role will be responsible for leading and managing simulator installations and ongoing technical matters for customers in the attractions, professional motorsports, R&D and training markets. The project manager will be able to focus on achieving deadlines and assure solutions are realised to the highest standard, on time and within budget.

The project manager will be responsible from the beginning of the project until the post-installation handover and commissioning at the customer's site. This is not a largely desk-based job; the position involves active project implementation. There is a requirement to control and manage a portfolio of multiple projects simultaneously and a duty to report on progress through Cruden's administrative system to the operations director.

The ideal candidate will be motivated, flexible and extremely pragmatic. The role will not suit those with a preference for a "9 to 5" job. The candidate must be willing to travel globally and work autonomously as well as in a team. A passion for car or motorcycle racing is an advantage. Good communication skills are essential, especially as the project manager is the key interface between the company and our diverse customer base which ranges from theme park operators to high net worth individuals and Formula One teams. Depending on experience, there are also opportunities to play a role in our development and support departments.

Responsibilities & duties

  • Manage projects from beginning to end;
  • Define detailed project scope, goals and deliverables based on the commercial information;
  • Be an integral part of the project team;
  • Estimate the resources needed to achieve project goals;
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members;
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using Cruden administrative tools.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables plus resources spent;

Required education and experience

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a project management capacity;
  • B.Sc. in mechanical / electrical engineering (or equivalent);
  • Familiarity with project management software;
  • Confident with PCs and networks;
  • Technically competent to mechanically outline new designs;
  • Commercial understanding is an advantage;
  • Ability to conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines;
  • Reactive to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently;
  • Dutch speaking;
  • Good knowledge of English;
  • Valid driving license.

Content Developer

Cruden is looking for an experienced content developer to expand its current team of motivated 3D graphic artists. Your primary job and responsibility will be to develop cars, tracks and other objects in a 3D environment and optimize the realism and performance for Cruden products. The content developer should be able to execute a project from concept to finalized product.

Besides the development of content, the content developer will support commercial activities with visualizations and supplying imagery for newsletters and other collateral. The content developer also contributes to the development of new software features and will implement new software features into Cruden products.

The ideal candidate is a creative, flexible and versatile 3D artist, with at least 3 years' industry experience and a passion for motorsports and technology.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 year experience in the game development industry
  • A very good working knowledge of Autodesk 3D Studio Max (or similar 3D package)
  • A very good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop (or similar 2D package)
  • Experience with modeling and texturing game environments (race tracks)
  • Experience with modeling and texturing car models
  • Experience with playing racing simulation games

Account Manager

We are looking for an account manager to help drive our business forward. You will be as passionate as we are about taking high tech professional simulators developed for Formula 1 to new audiences in entertainment. Researching and targeting global amusement parks, race simulator centres and karting venue opportunities, you will create and maintain a full sales pipeline, and ensure the Cruden name is promoted to defined customer groups.

Reporting to the commercial director, you will be responsible for generating and following up new leads and opportunities and play an integral role in customer support. The position is salaried and is 40 hours per week.

Internships

We are always looking for new interns who can contribute to our software and/or content development teams. If you are interested in high tech racing simulators and have a passion for motorsport, then this is the internship for you!

As part of the programming team, you will dive into the development of our software architecture in C++. You will support the development of our render engine and graphical user interface as well as new features for our software package.

As part of the content development team, you will help develop new 3D cars and tracks for our simulator and optimise these for a real-time environment. You will also help our marketing department in the creation and visualisation of new projects.
