(Junior) Systems & Support Engineer
Cruden develops professional open architecture driving simulators for the automotive, motorsport and marine industries. We supply flexible, durable, high performing driver in the loop real-time simulators and their modular components: hardware, software, vehicle models, content and projection systems.
As a Systems and Support Engineer your function is twofold. As Support Engineer, you are the first point of contact for our customer install base having technical questions or issues with their simulators. You have to find solutions to problems with the products and help customers solve technical difficulties. The role is very diverse, it will involve mechanical, electrical and software (configuration) work.

Secondly, you will be an integral part of The Systems Engineering team. This team is responsible for managing and delivering all simulator projects to our customers. Within a project, the Junior Systems Engineer is responsible for working on diverse technical topics for customers in the professional motorsports, automotive and marine markets. This is not a largely desk-based job; the position involves active project implementation.
The ideal candidate will be motivated, flexible pragmatic and will be customer service oriented. You have a strong technical background and enjoy technical problem-solving. The candidate must be willing to travel globally and work autonomously as well as in a team. Good communication skills are essential, both with customers and with colleagues.

Responsibilities & duties Support Engineer :
• Provide support to customers with problems with their simulators, both from our office in Amsterdam and on-site at the customer.
• Testing and handling of incoming repair parts, both mechanical and IT.
• Handling spare parts orders.
• Prepare, plan and execute maintenance and support visits.
Responsibilities & duties Junior Systems Engineer :
• Be an integral part of the technical project team.
• Solve diverse technical challenges within the project.
• Installation, commissioning and testing of simulator systems in our workshop and on site at the customer location.

Required education and experience :
• B.Sc. in mechanical / electrical engineering (or equivalent).
• Relevant working experience is appreciated but not required.
• Confident with PCs and networks.
• Problem solver with good communication skills.
• Good knowledge of English in speaking and writing.
• Valid driving license.
